Serbia made it to the semi-finals of the tournament after a big 97-70 win over the local team of Latvia in Group F.
The Serbs took the first spot in the group with a 4-1 record, while Latvia, after two great wins on the previous days, dropped to 2-3 and will play the 9-12 classification games.
Latvia is still strong in the race to be part of the final four teams here, after a big 68-55 win over Russia.
The locals climbed to a 2-2 record while Russia dropped to 0-4 in Group F.
After two losses in a row the home team of Latvia took on the strong French team, and displayed ultimate domination in a show that won't be forgotten soon.
The scoreboard showed 96-73 for Latvia at the end of the game, but at some points the difference was already 41. France just made it look a little better in the last minutes, but will need to find the mental strength to recover in time before another difficult game.
Montenegro is the third team that finished the Preliminary Round with a perfect record after gaining their third win, a 77-64 triumph over the locals of Latvia.
The new participants finished Group C with a 3-0 record that will allow them to carry two wins to the Qualifying Round. Latvia dropped to 1-2 to finish third but won't carry any win with them.
