Vasily Zavoruev scored 20 points leading Russia to an 86-52 blow-out of Belarus for their second straight victory in the quarter-final round of the Ostchem U20 European Championship.
Pavel Agapov added 15 points, and Maxim Sheleketo had 13 points and seven rebounds, while the duo combined for 16 points in a 20-4 run from the first to second quarters to open up a 15-point lead.
Zavoruev tallied 10 points as the Russians pulled away for good with a 21-12 third quarter.
The Russians were able to take care of the ball as they committed only five turnovers compared to 13 for Belarus. Anton Ponkrashov had nine assists for the winners.
Kanstantsin Yafremau had 23 points, seven rebounds and two steals in a losing cause.
Russia are now 2-0 in Group G of the classification round ahead of their showdown with Spain on Thursday.
Zavoruev scored the game's first six points as Russia pulled ahead 8-0. Yafremau then tallied the next seven points as Belarus came back for a 12-11 lead.
But Agapov and Sheleketo paced a crucial run as Russia went ahead 18- 12 after the first period, and 31-16 midway through the second frame.
Russia went into the break with a 38-23 advantage before pulling away in the second half, going ahead 61-35 after three quarters and pushing the lead to 36 points.
