A 24-2 first-quarter run for Russia doomed Germany in Group C on Saturday.
Beaten by France in their opener, the Russians got their Ostchem U20 European Championship campaign on track with an 81-51 victory as Maxim Sheleketo poured in a game-high 25 points.
Leo Niebuhr's jump shot gave Germany a 4-2 lead, but an Anton Ponkrashov jumper and two baskets jumpers from Andrey Vorontsevich - one of them a three-ball - started the decive surge that gave Russia a firm grip on the game.
By the end of the third quarter, they led 31-11 and it only got worse for Germany as Russia stretched their lead to 48-15 with four minutes to play in the half.
Anatoly Kashirov was the only other player for Russia to score in double figures with 11 points.
Germany have now lost both of their games.
