A double-double from Emir Preldzic led Slovenia to a 92-60 rout of Hungary. The Zenica-born player collected 21 points and 10 rebounds in a game dominated throughout by Slovenia.
They raced into a 23-12 lead by the end of the first quarter, and it was all but over as a contest by half-time with Slovenia heading to the locker rooms with a 46-22 advantage.
They were able to ease off in the second-half, allowing Hungary to keep the score-line respectable.
Preldzic was one of six Slovenia players in double figures, joined by Aljosa Remus (14), Gasper Vidmar (13), Rok Perko (11), Dejan Hohler (11), and Nejc Glavas (10). Vidmar also had six rebounds.
Hungary's resistance was led by Norbert Toth who had 12 points and five rebounds.
