Isabelle Yacoubou-Dehoui is someone who plays the game with a smile on her face and had she not made a big choice when younger, she would have been throwing a shot-put rather than bouncing a basketball. From what she has achieved since, the decision by this late bloomer to go with basketball was the right one. This former U20 European Championship MVP showed her prowess as a 21 year old at EuroBasket Women 2007 when she led the team in rebounds and now comes off the back of her first job outside of France where she led Beretta-Famila Schio in scoring during their EuroLeague Women campaign and won the Coppa Italia last season. Another player who missed the FIBA World Championship Women last year, the center should be back and that means France benefiting from her ability to score and rebound as consistently as anyone else in Europe. That is achieved by her ability to intimidate offences with her size and power as well as a deceptive quickness and mobility.
