Meirav Dori will be stepping out at her third successive EuroBasket Women tournament with her defensive capabilities proving effective in recent years along with her ability to conjur up key steals which is so often the stand-out feature of her game. She has also proven to have the capcity to do a little bit of everything, usually coming off the bench. Whether it is rebounding, setting screens or scoring the basketball, her influence is important, especially since much of what she does isn't measured by statistics alone. Those intangibles are crucial for the team and with EuroCup Women experience to throw into the mix too, expect this part-time model who grew up on a Kibbutz and left home at just 14 to pursue her basketball dreams to be back contributing once again - as she has done for the last three tournaments and also during qualifying last summer. |
