Career: Segle XXI (Spain-1ª Nacional, 1999-2001), Mann Filter Zaragoza (Spain-LF, 2001-05), Acis Incosa León (Spain-LF, 2005-09) Mann Filter Zaragoza (Spain-LF, 2009-2011)
With good size and an impressive array of skills, the player who is simply nicknamed ‘Lucy' has been viewed as someone who was perhaps thrown into the senior National Team too early in her career which made it arguably more difficult to deal with the pressure and expectation on her shoulders. That is all water under the bridge now, and she has emerged as a reliable option off the bench in the center spot and someone who can be trusted to get the job done rather than the teenage talent who never quite lived up to the hype that others unfairly created. While she didn't play a lot of minutes at the FIBA World Championship Women last year, she is a good match up to nullify any big centers on the opposing team and can cause problems under the basket offensively with her size or by setting screens for others to get open. |
