Only one thing will allow Beretta-Famila to take advantage of their 20-point lead in the second leg of the final of the EuroCup Women at BC Moscow.
And that is, the Schio club's Bethany Donaphin warns, to forget it even exists.
Donaphin, a 27-year-old center from the United States who is the outfit's leading rebounder in Europe at 6.3 per game, says the team will be treating the game in isolation and not even consider that they have a huge advantage from the first leg.
They will be, Donaphin says, "Thinking that the game will start as always, zero to zero.
"In this way, we have a chance to lift the trophy, and that would be a great success for us, the club and all of Italian women's basketball," she said.
Schio must clamp down defensively and not give Moscow any reason to believe they can fight back for what would be an incredible victory, she added.
"It will be a very though and complicated game," predicted Donaphin, whose best game in the competition came in Schio's biggest hour of need in the second leg of their semi-final against Galatasaray.
She had 20 points and eight rebounds in that game.
Looking ahead to Moscow, she said: "We're not allowed to have any distractions. If we want to win the Cup, we've got to play great defense for the entire 40 minutes, as we know we are able to do."
