Isabel Sanchez

Career: Ensino (Spain-LF, 1997-2002), UB FC Barcelona (Spain-LF, 2002-04), US Valenciennes (France-LFB, 2004-05), Acis Incosa León (Spain-LF, 2005-07), Perfumerías Avenida (Spain-LF, 2007-09).

It's nothing more than a lot of hard work that has allowed Isa Sánchez to be a member of the Spanish national team. Her career has always been about passion and team commitment since she was discovered in a little team in her native Sevilla. Sánchez joined Liga Femenina side Ensino where she became a solid player before joining a UB FC Barcelona team that won the 02-03 league title and played in EuroLeague Women. Her shooting skills and tough defence were enough to get her a stint with Valenciennes. This was her unique experience abroad as she came back to be a top LF player in León and Salamanca. For the national team she usually contributes from the bench giving Valdemoro or Palau a breather.
