Simona Ballardini, the hero of Germano Zama Faenza's EuroCup Women semi-final win over Dynamo Moscow Region, says the Italian side will do everything in their power to beat favourites Dynamo Moscow in game one of the final on Wednesday.

Ballardini scored 26 points in the second leg of the semi-final to help secure a 125-116 aggregate victory for Faenza, but knows their opponents in the final will be a tougher proposition.

Dynamo Moscow brushed aside Lavezzini Basket to reach the last two, winning 178-132 on aggregate.

Ballardini told PA Sport: "We are going to be facing maybe the best team in Europe.

"The task on Wednesday will be huge, but our aim is to give everything we have and try to win the first leg at home.

"They (Dynamo) are very dangerous team, capable of punishing you for every mistake you make. But even though Moscow are the favourites on paper, we are going to give it our best shot.

"We want to play better than ever because we will be up against a great team with 10 of the best players in Europe. This is great motivation for me and my team."

Faenza go into the final yet unbeaten at the PalaBubani this season, both domestically and in Europe, while Ballardini believes she is coming into the game in the best form of her life.

"My target on Wednesday is to play as well as I have ever played, without stress and fear," she said.

"At present I feel I'm in very good form and I feel very positive going in to the game. I'm looking forward to facing the Dynamo team.

"We know Dynamo Moscow are able to play about 20 to 25 minutes of wonderful basketball if they want to, so it will be important to mark them all very tightly.

"Then, if we get chances, I'm sure the team and I can have fun."
