Tuukkanen MVP But Gran Canaria Fall
// 17 December 2007

Finland international Taru Tuukkanen of Gran Canaria captured the Liga Femenina MVP Award for the second time this season after her performance at the weekend.

Tuukkanen had 27 points and 10 rebounds but that wasn't enough to fire her team to victory as the Canary Islanders lost at home to Ros Casares, 79-60.

Gran Canaria discovered earlier in the week they face Extrugasa Corteaga in an all-Spanish showdown in the EuroCup Women Sixteenth-Finals.

Ros Casares, who got 18 points from Delisha Milton-Jones and 16 from Katie Douglas, remained undefeated at 9-0 in Spain.

The Valencia outfit is also unbeaten in the EuroLeague Women with six wins in as many Group D games.
