At nearly 28 years of age, Sauliute has yet to fulfill her potential with the national team. She had a terrible qualifying round and couldn't seem to find her shooting touch. Surprising since it is usually one of her fortes. Nevertheless, she had a great 2008-2009 season and she could use that to regain her confidence with the national team. She was almost perfect in EuroCup Women play and she proved that very few players have a better all-around game than her in LMKL: she finished the season in the Top 5 in assists (3.0), steals (2.8), and three-point percentage (44.3%) despite playing only 23 minutes per game!
