Ela Briedyte

Career: Lietuvos telekomas Vilnius (Lithuania-LMKL, 1998-2002), LKS Lotz (Poland-PLKK, 2002-03), Arvi Marijampole (Lithuania-LMKL, 2003-07)

Briedyte played four seasons at Lietuvos telekomas Vilnius, but received very limited playing time. This problem was solved when she made the move to one of Teo’s main rivals, Arvi Marijampole, before the 2005-06 season. Playing in the EuroCup Women with Avri helped Briedyte regain her basketball instincts and last year she was the top-scorer (13.7 points) and best shooter (2pts – 69%, 3pts – 56%) for the club in EuroCup action. Briedyte played a limited role at EuroBasket Women 2005. Her last appearance for the national team left bitter memories as she was forced to leave the floor with a bad injury after playing only for two minutes at last year’s World Championship.
