Manuela Zanon

Career: Robbiano (Italy-A2, 1998-99), Varese (Italy-A1, 1999-2000), Treviglio (Italy-A1, 2000-01), Napoli (Italy-A2, 2001-2003), Schio (Italy-A1, 2003-04), Taranto (Italy-A1, 2004-05), Ribera (Italy-A1, 2005-07), Lavezzini Parma (Italy-A1 2007/08) San Giovanni (Italy-A1, 2008-09)

She may lack a little quickness at the defensive end but has a big heart and is aggressive and powerful, perhaps testament to her father Lorenzo, a former European boxing champion. Zanon only managed a handful of minutes in 2007 but has since worked hard to established herself as someone who is always contributing with points or rebounds, if not both, something that her performances in the qualifying round would testify. If any game turns ugly then expect Coach Ticchi to turn to this powerful option as she will definitely win plenty of battles on the glass at both ends of the floor. Has also had a strong year in A1 with San Giovanni helping them reach the play-offs.
