PLAYER HISTORY
Diána Fűrész

Career: Kecskeméti KC (Hungary-A, 2000-01), Soproni Postás (Hungary-A, 2001-02), Szeviép-Szeged (Hungary-A, 2002-04), DKSK Miskolc (Hungary-A, 2004-05), BSE (Hungary-A, 2005-08), Seat-Foton-Győr (Hungary-A, 2008-09)

Fűrész is not yet a leader but is an important additional player off the bench. This nice and under control playmaker can organize the play of the team well. She is also an example for teammates on offence, and defence, as she improved a lot in that last aspect of the game. Fűrész is very athletic and has plenty of talent, and could play an important part in the guard rotation. Fűrész stepped up in her team's last qualifying game, when she made the last two free throws against Croatia in overtime, securing Hungary the best third place spot and a direct bid for EuroBasket Women 2009.

  • Ranks #3 in Steals (3.4)
