Alexandra Cutas

Career: Olimpia Bucuresti (Romania-D1, 1998-2001), Sportul Studentesc Bucuresti (Romania-D1, 2001-04), Livas Targoviste (Romania-D1, 2004-05), Biandra Târgoviste (Romania-D1, 2005-07)

The Cutas sisters are well known in Romanian basketball, with Alexandra leading the way for her two younger twin sisters, Andrea and Cristina. All three played for club side Sportul Studentesc Bucuresti, for two seasons from 2002 to 2004, a sister act that was unique in European basketball at the professional level. Alexandra then moved to Târgoviste to play for the best team in Romania and earned a selection to the Romanian Women’s All- Star game, where she tallied nine points on three, three-point field goals. For the National Team, in youth competitions as well as with the seniors, Alexandra has been mostly a bench player. Her team spirit is appreciated by the coaching staff.
