An outstanding player for her club teams during the last few seasons, Michala Hartigova is likely to have done enough to get back into the National Team after missing out at the FIBA World Championship Women last year. A regular with the team since 2001, she has not always found significant court time but really showed her capabilities in 2008 at the Olympics when she had a super tournament. With EuroCup Women and EuroLeague Women experience to call upon as well as being part of the National Team at a host of major tournaments, she offers plenty. She is a good rebounder and has a genuine inside-outside game, but it is her defence which is often viewed as her major strength.
