Sparta&K M.R. Vidnoje won their best-of-three series against Nadezhda to reach the EuroLeague Women Final Eight but the Orenburg team claimed partial revenge on Wednesday by winning their Russian Cup Semi-Final showdown in Ekaterinburg.

EuroBasket Women 2011 MVP Elena Danilochkina, Anastasiya Verameyenka and Katie Douglas each had 14 points as Nadezhda prevailed, 69-59.

Nadezhda will take on hosts UMMC Ekaterinburg in the final.

UMMC, another EuroLeague Women Final Eight side, romped to an 85-50 triumph over Dynamo Kursk in Wednesday's second semi with Sandrine Gruda pouring in 20 points and Candace Parker, 19.

Kursk will have an opportunity soon to win the EuroCup Women title when they go up against Kayseri Kaskispor, with the first leg on 15 March in Turkey.

As expected, Wednesday's Nadezhda v Sparta&K clash was close.

A pair of Sonja Petrovic free-throws had given Pokey Chatman's team a 51-47 lead but Nadezhda's Olga Ovcharenko scored the last two points of the third quarter to reduce the deficit to two.

The same player then buried a three-ball early in the fourth that put Aleksandr Kovalevin's outfit in front.

Nadezhda continued the run with Verameyenka pouring in five straight points, including a shot from the arc.

Katie Douglas capped it with another basket.

Sparta&K fought back to trail 61-58 after four consecutive points by Candice Dupree.

Natalia Zhedik calmed her team's nerves when answering with a three-point play for Nadezhda.

A Zhedik three-point dagger with 1:04 on the clock was vital as it stretched the lead to 67-59 and all but sealed victory for Nadezhda.

Dupree had 14 points and Seimone Augustus 13 for Sparta&K.

Sparta&K will meet Dynamo in the battle for third place on Thursday and that contest will be followed by UMMC's showdown with Nadezhda in the Final.
