Croatian outfit Gospic survived a tricky test against Botas Spor to progress in the EuroCup Women on Thursday.
Sandra Mandir and Marina Mazic each scored 18 points to propel the home side to a 75-59 victory, throwing them into a quarter-final tie with Beretta Famila who won their clash against Nadezhda.
Mandir had six assists and five rebounds while Mazic also grabbed five boards.
After winning the opening game by just three points on the road, Gospic returned home looking for an extra lift from the fans.
Botas Spur overcame the home support to lead three times in the third quarter and keep the tie evenly poised with their biggest advantage at 39-37.
Gospic used a little burst of points shortly after, though, as a platform for victory.
Behind 43-42, Orsolya Englert connected from long range for Gospic, Mazic drilled a jumper and Katarina Maloca made a jump shot for a 7-0 run that left the hosts with a 49-43 lead in the game and a nine-point advantage on aggregate.
They ended up winning by 16 points on the night, 19 overall.
Mirjana Tabak had 15 points and seven rebounds for Gospic, who also got 11 points and nine boards from Maloca.
