Dynamo Moscow took a huge step towards the final of the EuroCup Women with a 91-77 road win over Lavezzini Basket in Parma.
A massive night from Rebekkah Brunson lifted the visitors to victory as the American center scored 20 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for her team.
Dynamo started the second half trailing by a point at 35-34, but dominated the third period, using an 11-4 run - capped by Natalia Vodopyanova's jumper - to take a 45-39 lead. Lavezzini stopped the bleeding temporarily, but when Vodopyanova sank another jumper with 3:58 left in the period, it sparked a 12-0 Dynamo run which knocked the stuffing out of the hosts. Dynamo were 67-53 up as the fourth quarter started and the result was never in doubt from that point on as the hosts got no nearer than 13 points.
With aggregate scoring used to determine who goes forward to the final, there was no easing up from Dynamo, who made the gap 25 points when Nuria Martinez sank a jumper with 2:58 left in the game. However, Lavezzini, determined to keep the tie alive, finished the game on an 11-5 run.
Seimone Delicia Augustus, Anete Jekabsone-Zogota, Vodopyanova each had 13 points for the Russians. Lavezzini were led by 22 points from Belgian Laurence Van Malderen. Australian forward Jennifer Ellen Screen added 13, Monica Bello 12 and Emilija Podrug 11.
