Career: Croatia Zagreb (Croatia-A1, 1998-2002), Gospic (Croatia A-1 2002-03), Jolly Sibenik (Croatia-A1, 2003-07)
Anda Jelavic is a sure starter for the Croatian national team as she is one of the stars and most experienced player in the roster. Anda is a player that gives a high rhythm of the game, has quick hands. Fast and unstoppable on the open court, she penetrates in a second. Very aggressive in defense, Anda can't save herself in the game and loses too much energy. Coach Antic will use her a lot throughout the tournament, but there are big question marks about how she could handle recovery day after day. Last season, Jelavic was "the brain" of Jolly Sibenik. In the past, with the national team, she had a chance to learn from the best Croatia ever had at that position: Slavica Pretreger and Koraljka Hlede. Now is a time to show what she learned on the court and to bring her team to long expected results.
