Career: ZKK Croatia Zagreb (Croatia-A1, 2000-05), Mersin (Turkey-TBBL, 2006), Santa Eulalia Ibiza (Spain-LF, 2006-07), Mizo Pecs (Hungary-A, 2007-08), Gospic Croatia (Croatia-A1, 2008-11)
Jelena Ivezic is something of an unpredictable ‘X-Factor' player who can be having a quiet game offensively and then suddenly explode with a streaky run of baskets. Capable of being something of a game changer for the National Team, she is also very much an all-round player. With a good feel for the game, Ivezic will not only shoot the ball from pretty much all over the floor if it feels right but she will also crash the boards and utilise her excellent passing skills. She loves to get to the line and that is not surprising with a great free-throw shooting record which really punishes teams who choose to foul her. She has produced not only for the National Team during the last few years but also for Gospic Croatia in EuroLeague Women. This is her second EuroBasket Women tournament, although she only managed a handful of minutes coming off the bench in 2007. |
