Ros Casares Valencia have signed US guard Kedra Holland-Corn to replace injured Australian international Sandy Brondello.

Opals' point guard, and 2000 Olympic silver medallist, Brondello has suffered from a stress fracture in her right leg over the past 3 weeks and has been advised by doctors that a full recovery will require at least one more month's rest.

As a result, Ros Casares' management took the difficult decision of bringing in another player to help in the Liga Feminina, Copy de la Reina and EuroLeague Women campaigns.

Enter Holland-Corn. WNBA Champion with the Detroit Shock, the 29 year old point guard is very similar to Sandy Brondello in her speed, her ability to score and flexibility and aptitude at playing at either the point or at forward. As soon as all transfer procedures are completed she will join the roster, hopefully in time to play her season debut against VBM-SGAU Samara in Russia next week.

The Ros Casares coaching staff were particularly interested in bringing in Holland-Corn as she has a great deal of experience, not only in the WNBA, but also in European competition. Having started her WNBA career with the Sacramento Monarchs (seasons 1999-2002), Kedra made a smart move to the Detroit Shock in 2003 and averaged 9.2 ppg and and almost 2 apg on the road to a Championship ring. In Europe, Holland-Corn played for Aix-en-Provence in the EuroLeague Women season 2002 and averaged 20 points per game, 4.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists.
