FIBA Europe's Young Women's Player of the Year Sonja Petrovic has decided to leave Bourges for a new challenge which has yet to be revealed, but the Tango will still have a Serbian star on the roster next year.

Playmaker Katarina Manic has decided to join Bourges, the side that beat her Lattes Monpellier in the French domestic play-off finals.

"Montpellier did not make me an offer I expected," Manic said to the Le Berry Republican.

"I decided to come to Bourges, which is for me a bigger club. I will be able to play in the EuroLeague for the first time."

Losing players is nothing new for Bourges, a team that coped extremely well last season following the departure of key members of the team.

Coach of the Year Pierre Vincent endured some early struggles in the EuroLeague Women but ultimately led them to the Final Four where they suffered a pair of heartbreaking defeats.

Gambrinus beat the Tango in overtime and then French guard Caroline Aubert of UMMC Ekaterinburg drilled a three-pointer at the buzzer to defeat Bourges in the third place game.

Sonja Kireta, Bourges' Croatia national team center, has left for Prague and Belinda Snell, their Australian international, is also thought to be on her way to Spain's Liga Femenina.

Dumerc's back-up, Florence Lepron, has also decided to up sticks and move to Villeneuve d'Ascq.

But EuroLeague Women all star Celine Dumerc, the team's point guard, has remained along with a pair of emerging France internationals, forward Endene Miyem and center Ana Maria Cata-Chitiga and veteran Cathy Melain.

Former Brazil international center Alessandra has joined from Halcon Avenida and there is Manic, who should help the backcourt.

The 28-year-old averaged almost 30 minutes per game in the EuroCup Women for Montpellier, scoring 8.1 points per game while shooting 54.2% inside the arc.
