Almost a decade after stepping out at EuroBasket Women 2001, Veronika Bortelova made a return to the National Team last year at the FIBA World Championship Women and the veteran guard remains very much in the mix to continue her renaissance at this level. Best known for her club career in Poland during recent years, she really has found her form at club level, making the Polish League All Star game the last couple of seasons. She has extensive experience playing in European competitions and is a playmaker that has good court vision and can be trusted to keep things ticking over. The Prague native played 11 minutes in the FIBA World Championship Women Final last summer against the USA. |
