GAME REPORT
BOXSCORE
Delta ICP Kosice 105 BG Universa Marburg 60
// 20 November 2003

Delta proved their strength and the depth of their bench with a 105-60 win over Marburg leaving the Germans not a single chance from the beginning by overrunning them in the first ten minutes 41-16.

Without 3 key players Delta started the game with perfect percentage from the field. Seven consecutive 3 pointers built a 25-point margin at the end of the first quarter. Skvarekova, Timkova, Petrikova and Hirakova all scored 2 of 2 three pointers and Delta ended the quarter with 8 from 10 behind the arc.

Delta played the whole game with their bench. The MVP of the game, Katarina Timkova was the only point guard of the home team therefore she had to play the whole 40 minutes. She fulfilled the task very well and finished the game with 17 points and 4 assists.

Marburg best players were Christen Roper with 15 points and Katja Munck with 11 points and 6 rebounds.

The whole Slovakian team helped to achieve this high point margin victory one week before the last home match against Hungarian Szeviep Szeged, which will be crucial for the top spot of group C.

Quotes Delta ICP Kosice - BC Universa Marburg
// 20 November 2003

Vladimir Karnay, Head Coach, Delta ICP Kosice:

"We had a great start, a 75% field percentage speaks for itself. Third and fourth quarter we slowed down the pace a bit, but we still controlled the match."

Katarina Timkova, Delta ICP Kosice:

"I didn't expect our total domination, mostly in first quarter. Our strong play later on allowed the whole bench to play."

Uwe Scheidermann, Head Coach, BG Universa Marburg:

"I took this match too easy, didn't expect Delta to be such a strong opponent and I didn't prepare my team adequately. We played badly today."

Hicran Özen, BG Universa Marburg:

"We were very tired from the long journey. Our defense today was very weak and the offence wasn't any better. We have a young team and this match showed us that we don't have enough experience so far."
