Azace grew up in a basketball loving family as her oldest brother Janis was a member of Latvian National Team at EuroBasket 1993 and 1997. As a junior the blossoming post player went to the US and spent several seasons playing at the high school and college level. After returning to Europe she played for several different clubs in France, putting up solid numbers. Azace has a good mid-range shot and is a capable shot blocker, though she needs to work on her aggressiveness on offense.  Her experience will be important to the team, though depth at her position means she may not see much playing time.
