Sony Athinaikos didn't have new signing Ruth Riley in the line-up but they won the first leg of their EuroCup Women Eighth-Finals tie at Dynamo Kyiv anyway. Olga Chatzinikolaou scored 12 points - one of her season high - and Nikole Soulis weighed in with 10 as the Greek team won in Ukraine, 57-56. Athinaikos trailed 56-50 but finished the game on a 9-0 run with a Chatzinikolaou three-ball accounting for the last points of the game. Candice Wiggins finished with nine points and six rebounds and Irena Vizbariene had 10 boards to go with her six points. The Greek club lost power forward/center LaToya Davis to injury and reached agreement with former USA international Riley on a contract. She will be hoping to play in the return leg next week in Greece.  | | Sheana Mosch had 25 points in Nadezhda's win over Mann Filter | Nadezhda have seized the upper hand in their tie with Mann Filter Zaragoza by winning the opening game in Russia, 80-70.Shooting guard Sheana Mosch, a EuroLeague women All-Star last season, erupted for 25 points for Nadezhda. Mosch also handed out six assists and came down with six rebounds. Oxana Zakalyuzhnaya finished with 22 and eight boards. Veteran forward Allison Feaster-Strong spearheaded the Mann Filter attack with 23 points.
