Johnson Scores EuroCup Women Player Of The Week

08 February 2010

22 points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals were good enough to earn Temeka Johnson the EuroCup Women Players of the Week Award.

Even more importantly for Johnson and her teammates was the 16 point victory over Botas Spor on Thursday that accompanied her big night. It capped a 153-146 aggregate win that sent them on to the Quarter-Finals where they will face Saarlouis Royals.

The girls from Mondeville lost the first of the two game set 76-67 on the road, but won by 16 in France.

Johnson is the team's second leading scorer by average in EuroCup Women action behind fellow American Lenae Williams, though Thursdays win was only Johnson's third game of the competition.
