European Basketball Community Saddened By Briganti Passing

FIBA Europe was saddened to learn on Wednesday of the untimely passing of San Marino's Umberto Briganti, a standout at the recent 2009 U18 European Championship Men, Division C which took place in Malta.

Briganti, a 1.86m guard, was the tournaments third leading scorer with 18.0 points per game.  He also led his team in rebounding and steals.
