Celine Dumerc

Career: INSEP (France-NF1, 1998-2000), Tarbes (France-LFB, 2000-03), Bourges (France-LFB, 2003-09)

"Céline is a true athlete, entirely focused on winning and on what it takes to be a winner", said her coach Pierre Vincent. "I know Tony Parker very well. What I like about him is not the fact that he can score 55 points in a game. I like his ability to be at his best in very important games and to bring the best from his teammates. Céline is that kind of player. She is the best French player." Pierre Vincent, head coach of Bourges and the French national team is not known for his compliments, but with Dumerc it's a different story. Céline has become one of the best European point guards. She is probably the best defensive player at her position. She can lock down anybody. On the offensive end, she has really improved her shooting range and her consistency on outside jumpers. She knows Pierre Vincent's system and is the perfect relay for the coach on the floor. She is the heart and soul of this team that has been built around her.
