Michal Epstein

Career: Elitzur Holon (Israel-D1, 1997-2000), Bnei Yehuda (Israel-D1, 2000-01), Providence (USA-NCAA Div. 1, 2001-2003), Boston University (USA-NCAA Div. 1, 2003-04), Maccabi Ashdod (Israel-D1, 2004-05), Hapoel Tel Aviv (Israel-D1, 2005-06), Elitzur Ramla (Israel-D1, 2006), Maccabi Ashdod (Israel-D1, 2006-2008), Maccabi Ramat Khen (Israel-D1, 2008-09).

Epstein is making her return to EuroBasket Women after writing her debut performance back in 2003 but missing the 2007 edition. Six years ago her contributions were limited, but since then, after a very nice college career with Providence, Epstein has made progress that reached a peak when she played a key role in Hapoel Tel Aviv's shocking run for the championship title in 2006. This season she added to her cabinet a national cup gold medal with Maccabi Ramat Khen. Her ability to score from close and distance make Epstein a threat that any defense must pay attention to. At the age of 28 she's now one of the veterans on the team and her role on and off the court in such high level tournaments has evolved since her last appearance at EuroBasket Women.
