Team 2008-09: UNICS KAZAN (Russia - Superleague)
Career: DJK Wurzburg (Germany-Regional, 2000-02), Benetton Treviso (Italy- Lega A, 2002-03), Teramo Basket (Italy-Lega A, 2003-04), BC Kyiv (Ukraine- Superleague, 2004-06), Lokomotiv Rostov (Russia- Superleague, 2006-08)

A typical European big man, Loncar has enjoyed another efficient season in the Russian Superleague having made the move to Kazan from Rostov. Skilled in most areas of the game, he is not the quickest around but offers plenty of smarts and is a good passer of the ball. His importance to the Croatia team is maybe best underlined by the fact that he really struggled to finish in the Olympics last summer shooting a miserable 35%, but Repesa stuck with him. Has long arms and can play decent defence and is good at denying opponents the ball and rebounding, he is maybe underrated at this level from this perspective. After another strong season he should see plenty more court time off the bench again.
