At 22 years old, Armands Skele seems ready to shine on Europe biggest stage as his impressive showing during the qualifying round indicates... For many years, this natural born scorer has been regarded as a very promising prospect. In 1999, he was the sixth leading scorer in the U16 European championship (17.0 pts). One year later, he was the second in the same department at the U18 European championship (16.6 pts)... After confirming this status in the LBL, Skele moved to Poland where he established himself as an All-Star player and won one title in 2003... In 2004, he was selected to FIBA Europe League All-Star Game... This season was not as stellar in Belgium as Liege suffered in the ULEB Cup (2-8) and finished only fifth in the league. |
