The impact of Simas Jasaitis last year at the FIBA World Championship can not be overlooked since he emerged as a real gem for the National Team with some terrific contributions and not least a super double-double in the bronze medal game against Serbia. That performance encapsulated what he is all about and taking into account he was one of the rare bright spots in the EuroBasket 2009 nightmare, he is beginning to show real consistency at the elite level. His capacity to rebound and make good decisions from the wings is hugely important while last summer he drilled home 8 of 17 from the perimeter in an excellent shooting display. Since he has a strong skill-set he is also capable of playing up or down which means he offers real options. His good form in recent season was underlined by being afforded All Star status in both Turkey and Lithuania. |
