As one of more travelled Slovenian players on the roster, Samo Udrih brings valuable experience and guidance to the younger generation on the team. He has played in France, Greece, Israel, Spain, as well as back home in Slovenia. He also had a stint playing for the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Summer League during 2005. Udrih is a big three-point shooter, and relies heavily on this element of his game. He is also the player Slovenia would love at the line down the stretch of games. He has a cool head and rarely loses his composure. It's unclear how Coach Maljkovic will rotate him in the line-up, as he is yet to test the veteran, but coming off a decent FIBA World Championship, despite inconsistent playing time, Udrih proved he can still play at the highest level. |
