Career: Joventut (Spain-ACB, 1997-02), Real Madrid (Spain-ACB, 2002-04), DKV Joventut (Spain-ACB, 2004-...).
The DKV Joventut small forward is set to play his first big event with the national team. He is a very skilled offensive player who has a great ability to drive to the basket due to his ball handling and great first step, but who has also developed a reliable three-point shot in recent years which make him an unpredictable offensive threat. Mumbrú can post up smaller players due to his height and has a variety of back-to-the-basket moves. However, he has problems in defense guarding faster players and has never rebounded up to his size, two weak points that he is steadily improving. He still has to fix another, anyway: inconsistency. In spite of that, Mumbrú’s offensive skills make him a very dangerous player off the bench. |
