Artemis Spanou impressed with her all-round game, putting up stunning statistics

Artemis Spanou was named tournament MVP in the U20 European Championship Women Division B after leading Greece to first place.

Spanou led her team in every category, scoring an average of 20.4 points, collecting 12.6 rebounds and dishing out 2.5 assists per game.

Her 1.9 steals and 0.6 block shots per game were also team highs.

Spanou finished the tournament in style, with 33 points and nine rebounds leading Greece to their seventh win in eight games, beating the Czech Republic 76-71.

Spanou was named to the All Tournament Team alongside Belgium's Emmanuella Mayombo, Germany's Finja Schaake, Romania's Cristina Bigica and Renata Pudlakova of the Czech Republic.

Mayombo led Belgium with 19.8 points per game while Schaake had 17.4 points for Germany, who joined Greece and Hungary in earning promotion.

Bigica averaged 17 points per game for Romania and Pudlakova had 12.4 for the hosts as well as a tournament-best 3.6 assists per game.
