A sensational talent, Ginatre Petronyte is a former FIBA Europe Young Women's Player Of The Year who at 22-years-old is still maturing, a fact that makes it all the more exciting to think what level she can reach when at the peak of her career. Debuting for Lithuania at the tender age of just 17 during the 2006 FIBA World Championship Women, Petronyte is now at the stage of her development five years later when she can really begin to increase her all-round influence which was already impressive at EuroBasket Women two years ago in Latvia. She is a young star who can propel her team to success if she is on form. While she has been given perhaps less minutes than most expected in a struggling EuroLeague Women team at Galatasaray, she has still performed and fans at this tournament will be keen to see her in action since there are few better sights than watching Petronyte execute power plays in the paint.
