Russia beat Greece 71-46 in their second Quarter-final Round game in the OSTCHEM U20 European Championship Women in Hungary.
Tatiana Bokareva led the way with a fantastic performance, collecting 20 points and 14 rebounds to guide her team to a comfortable win.
Elena Gogiya also chipped in with 15 points, while Zoi Dimitrakou (16) led the scoring for Greece for the second game in a row after her 14-point haul in the defeat to Belgium.
The game was effectively won early in the third quarter when, having gone into locker rooms with a narrow 30-26 lead, Russia hit 15 unanswered points, including five each from Gogiya and Evgenia Belyakova.
The win is Russia's second in succession, leaving them in a strong position in the quarter-final group, while Greece are in desperate trouble after two defeats. |
