Yacoubou Elected MVP

France's Isabelle Yacoubou was named MVP of the Ostchem European Championship U20 Women in Sopron, Hungary after Sunday's final.

The tournament was the first in a French uniform for Yacoubou, who hails from Benin in Western Africa.

The 195 cm center was a force throughout the competition for France, averaging 16.8 points and 10.5 rebounds per game, including a 29-point, 15-rebound performance against Hungary in the semis and 21 points and 14 rebounds in her team's bronze medal game win against Spain.

Yacoubou was joined on the All-Tournament Team by Silvia Dominguez (Spain), Andrea Somogyi (Hungary), Rita Kollö (Hungary) and Tatiana Bokareva (Russia).
