In EuroBasket 2005 and 2007 she spent most of her time on the bench. The same was expected from her in the Olympic Games but Aija surprised not only with good defence but also with some offensive skills and her playing time grew. After then Brumermane spent a good season with TTT Riga averaging 5.0 points and 5.7 rebounds in EuroLeague Women, 13.6 points and 9.8 rebounds in the Latvian League. Just 23-years-old, Brumermane is one of the biggest Latvian hopes at EuroBasket 2009.
