Dreimane loves shooting from three-point range and she proved it again this season when she topped the Latvian league for three-point shots accuracy (47.8%). Santa grew up in Cesis, a small town with a great basketball tradition. Dreimane was one of the leaders of the U20 national team which won a bronze medal at the 2005 European Championship Women. She was included in the senior national team roster for EuroBasket Women 2007 as a back-up shooting guard. Unfortunately, due to a serious knee injury, she had to skip most of the 2008 season, including the Beijing Olympic Games. Last summer, Dreimane went back to her hometown and became one of the leaders for SK Cesis. She averaged 31 minutes and 9.1 points per game in the EuroCup Women and can probably be the national team's secret weapon in EuroBasket Women 2009.
