Polish coach Roman Skrzecz is extremely disappointed about his side's sixth place finish at the Under-20 European Championships for Women in France.
Poland's tournament got off to a terrible start with a 65-56 defeat to Hungary and though they qualified for the knockout stage, tournament favourites Russia eliminated them in the quarter-finals.
The Poles beat Slovakia, but then Ukraine compounded their misery by beating them 82-77 in the fifth place game.
"I am not satisfied with sixth place in this tournament because our objective was to fight for a medal," Skrzecz said.
"We lost the key game against Hungary ... and we lost a game against a very strong team, Russia, who were definitely better than us." |
