A fearless and daring personality, Tatyana Troina is never afraid to perform on big stages under the spotlight and intense scrutiny. She leads by example, often setting a highly competitive tone for the national team's training sessions, never allowing younger players to relax and drift through practices. Troina started the 2008-2009 season in Latvia where she starred for TTT Riga side (18.0 ppg on 48.9% shooting from behind the arc in nine EuroLeague Women games). Then at midseason she opted to go to Israel and joined Electra Ramat-Hasharon squad. A couple of months later Troina finally achieved the goal that had slipped away from her several times in the previous years, winning the Israeli League. Tatyana Troina is universally recognized for her ability to shoot the lights out. After all, she didn't get the "Golden Hand" nickname for nothing.
