Liene Jansone has been one of the most consistent performers for the National Team in recent years with an impressive track record of strong performances. Using all of her power and athleticism in the paint, the flexible Jansone offers strength under the hoop or can happily take defenders away to either create space for others or give herself the room required to knock one down shots from range. She is a good finisher who was the second best scorer for the team at both EuroBasket Women 2007 and at the Olympics a year later. A good rebounder too, Jansone has great experience of playing in many of the top leagues in Europe as well as in EuroLeague Women and EuroCup Women. Win or lose, the media- friendly Jansone will always be available to talk passionately about the game.
