Riding the hot shooting hands from Margaux Galliou, Esther Moisan Niamke and Romane Bernies, France eased past Hungary 62-45 in the last match of Group C at the U20 European Championship Women in Samsun on Saturday.
In a game that had no implications for the next round, France took control with a 15-2 run that bridged the first and second quarter. That gave them a 24-16 lead midway through the second, and with six three-pointers in the third quarter alone, France extended the margin to 54-34 and cruised to their third win in the tournament.
France finished with 13 triples on 26 attempts, while Hungary went 1-for-8 on shots behind the arc.
Galliou led in victory with 18 points, while Moisan Niamke netted 13.
For Hungary, who now have to battle for survival in Division A, Amadea Szamosi scored 11.
