Poland improved to 2-0 in Group A of the U20 European Championship with a 50-40 victory over Bulgaria, who failed to converted in a close game down the stretch.
Olivia Tomialowicz scored 13 points and Malgorzata Misiuk collected 13 points, 11 rebounds and four blocked shots for Poland.
Antoniya Zagorova had 13 points and eight rebounds for Bulgaria, who dropped to 0-2.
The game was back and forth in the first quarter with two lead changes and five ties and the biggest lead being four points. It was 12-12 after one period.
Poland went on a 9-0 run in the second quarter to open a six-point cushion and led 23-19 at halftime.
The gap increased to nine points early in the third before Bulgaria trimmed the margin to two points 28-16. Still, Poland led 35-30 going into the fourth.
The Polish had regained an eight-point margin before Bulgaria pulled within 40-38 with four minutes left. But Bulgaria committed four straight turnovers and Tomialowicz and Paulina Antczak each knocked down three-pointers as the lead grew to 10 points.
France meanwhile joined Poland at 2-0 in the group by easing past the Netherlands 83-52.
France will next face Poland for first place while Netherlands take on Bulgaria to remain in the running for a medal and avoid the relegation round.
