Lithuania And Ukraine To Play For Fifth

Lithuania and Ukraine will face off for fifth place at the U20 European Championship for Women after they beat Serbia and Turkey, respectively, in the 5th-8th place classification games.

Giedre Paugaite collected 19 points, 12 rebounds, three steals and four blocks in leading Lithuania to a 63-59 victory over Serbia. And Alina Iagupova had 26 points, seven rebounds, 11 assists, six steals and three blocks as Ukraine beat Turkey 74-55.

Lithuania, who also received 18 points from Marina Solopova, used a 15-0 run spanning the third and fourth quarter to open a 55-45 lead and held on for the win.

Sanja Orozovic paced Serbia with 17 points while Jelena Jovanovic had 16 points and Sara Krnjic added 14 points.

Serbia will face Turkey for seventh place.

Turkey watched Ukraine go on a 14-0 run in the fourth quarter to take command of the game. Olesia Malashenko had 16 points and eight rebounds while Krystyna Matsko scored 11 points and Olga Maznichenko had 10 in the win.

Damla Gezgin led Turkey with 11 points.
