Sabine Niedola had another outstanding showing in leading Latvia to a 83-73 over-time victory over Lithuania to reach the Fifth Place Game of the U20 European Championship for Women, where they will meet Ukraine.
Niedola gathered 21 points, 22 rebounds and five steals - the 17-year-old Latvian star talent's sixth game with at least 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Baiba Eglite and Kristine Vitola each scored 19 points and Diana Ozolina added 17 for the winners.
Lithuania, who were paced by 26 points and 15 rebounds from Gintare Petronyte, led by 13 points early in the third period before Latvia went on an 18-2 run to take the lead 49-46. Trailing by six points with less than two minutes, Saule Kontautaite knocked down a three-pointer and Petronyte knotted the game on a jumper with 43 seconds. The game went to over-time where Latvia overpowered their neighbours.
In Sunday's Fifth Place Game, Latvia will face Ukraine, who received 19 points and 16 rebounds from Oleksandra Prystupa in knocking off Turkey 78-67.
Olena Samburska added 17 points, Arina Lysyuk scored 14 and Taisiia Bovykina had 10 points for Ukraine, who used a 16-0 second quarter run to take control of the contest.
Yasemin Dalgalar led Turkey with 27 points and 10 rebounds while Bahar Caglas added 23 and 11.
Turkey will play Lithuania on Sunday for seventh place.
